Sustainable Furniture

This is a project I had been working on a few months ago and completely forgot about until I noticed the folder today. At the time, I was working on making this into a flash animation (and also waiting for the real text to be put in) but then the project was cancelled. Anyway, I still think they look pretty cool so here they are!

In case it isn’t obvious it starts out raining furniture, then rains trees, then turns into an infographic. From there it would go on a crazy journey around the world to show that all our furniture comes from China and Italy and we’re polluting the Earth with our cheap Ikea furniture etc. 

Fun fact I learned from listening to Freakonomics: You Are What You Eat pt 1 and 2: If you bought local organically grown produce every day for the rest of your life, it would still not make as much of an impact on carbon dioxide emissions contributing to climate change, as a typical American who eats cheap factory farmed meat, dairy, imported produce etc giving up cow products for only one day each week.
